Online breakfast with BALAJCZA – „Portugal – Land of Sailors and Calçada”

Thursday, 24 April 2025

8 am-9 am

Back in the Middle Ages, the world of a European ended at the shores of Portugal. In the 15th century, it was the brave Portuguese explorers who made groundbreaking discoveries and opened up new horizons. The rich cultural legacy of that fearless age of navigation can still be admired today.

We’ll talk about this during the online breakfast event “Portugal – Land of Sailors and Calçada” on Thursday, April 24 at 8:00 AM.

You’ll learn, among other things:

  • why you should watch your step in Lisbon (and beyond)
  • which building was built in exchange for a sack of pepper
  • whether Prince Henry the Navigator was actually a navigator
  • how Lisbon became the “emporium” of Europe
  • what sets the Manueline architectural style apart
  • and where to find the famous “Cape of Warm Underpants” 😄

The meeting will be held by Kamila Radzyńska – business coach, specialised in intercultural communication, member of SIETAR Polska, R&D Manager experienced in foreign trade, romanist, passionate about the Far East, and winner of the Knowledge about France Competition organised by PR III radio and France Inter.

The meeting will be held in Polish.
