8 am-9 am
Starting the day with a cup of tea is something many of us enjoy. The feeling of warmth, comfort, and calm it brings connects cultures all around the world. The rich history of tea will be explored during the online breakfast “Tea – a journey from East to West”, taking place on Thursday, January 15 at 8:00 a.m. We will explin how an infusion made from an exotic plant became an important part of everyday life for Europeans.
You will learn, among other things:
- Who introduced the custom of drinking tea at the British court?
- Which French duchess changed the habits of the Poles?
- How did tea influence the history of the United States?
- Where in Europe is a teaspoon not served with tea?
- Why does half of the world call this drink “chai”, the other half “tea”, while Poles say “herbata”?
The meeting will be held by Kamila Radzyńska – business coach, specialised in intercultural communication, member of SIETAR Polska, R&D Manager experienced in foreign trade, romanist, passionate about the Far East, and winner of the Knowledge about France Competition organised by PR III radio and France Inter.
The meeting will be held in Polish.
