The work awarded “TV (III)” is the third part of a triptych which means record of the role of the television as the model of modernity. The eye-catching colors reflect how human desires are attracted by the media, and the simulation presented includes prominent lack of individual reflection of its protagonists. The whiteness of the background in TV sets suggests innocence of the broadcasters. The spectacular representation of reality within the triptych is a brave critique of the production of fear, style and behaviors.
Kerajaga’s artistic activity reflects the mutation of the 21st century civilization. The author about his works: “The real artistic work should have a deeper essence. It is about peace, kindness, courage and reflection, which return us to the values remaining in the centre of our civilization. Art seems boring without an idea.”. Kerajaga is a synonym of two artists: Jaroslaw Betlej and Agnieszka Stefaniuk. The short versions of their names – Jarek and Aga – read backwards create their artistic pseudonym.
Kerajaga’s works are presented within „VIP Art.” meetings lead by the Artist on every Saturday at 16.00 hrs. at his Warsaw Studio at 27 Dickensa Str., app. 93.
