Dentons was named “Professional Services Company of the Year 2016 – Legal” at the CEE Clean Energy Awards gala held in Warsaw on 9 June 2016. The award recognizes our longstanding commitment to supporting energy clients in this extremely challenging market in Central and Eastern Europe.
The CEE Energy Summit and Awards, organized by BizPoland Magazine, were established three years ago to provide insights into trends and developments in the energy industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
The CEE Energy Awards recognize companies and individuals in the Central and Eastern European energy industry for operational excellence, boldness in strategy, and innovative leadership. This year, the jury consisted of members from leading energy companies in the region as well as Bloomberg New Energy Finance. Clean energy was in focus.
Commenting on this success, Arkadiusz Krasnodębski, Poland Managing Partner and Head of the Energy practice in Europe, said: “This win for the second consecutive year is an acknowledgement of the continuous efforts of our Energy team in addressing the needs of the industry in Central and Eastern Europe, specifically on the renewables front this year.”
The awards ceremony was preceded by the CEE Clean Energy Summit, where participants discussed innovative technologies and new business models transforming CEE’s Clean Energy markets. Michał Motylewski, Counsel at Dentons’ Warsaw office, spoke at a panel focused on interdependence and independence in CEE’s gas and electricity transmission sector and presented on regulatory challenges in network integration in the CEE region.
