On Thursday, 2 October 2014 over 100 businesswomen took part in an afternoon seminar and networking session entitled Female leaders – a cross-cultural view.
The meeting was co-organised by the British Polish Chamber of Commerce, the French Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Poland (initiator), the Scandinavian Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Polish Swiss Chamber of Commerce.
In the introductory discussion panel, moderated by Olga Kozierowska, founder of the Sukces Pisany Szminka? project, place and role of women in business were discussed. Panelists: Joanna Bańkowska, Managing Director, BSI Group, Chloe Marchand, Country Manager Poland, Air France KLM, Halina Więckowska, Partner, K&L Gates, Alexandra Bishop, Country President and CPO Head Poland, Novartis Poland and Wanda Brociek, General Manager, SAS Airlines in Poland shared their experience of doing business in other countries and Poland, and discussed features that determine a woman’s career success in international corporate structures. Some models and solutions for women working in corporations in different countries were outlined too.
The panel was followed by interactive workshop focusing on Self-presentation and memorising techniques run by coaches from Piasecka & Żylewicz.
Networking reception providing opportunity to swap business cards concluded the event.
