Sanctions risk in business

Date:
02.03.2023, 10:00 - 11:00

Location:

We would like to invite you to a meeting on the topic “Sanctions risk in business”, which will be held online on 2 March from 10.00 to 11.00 a.mEY will be the content partner.

About the meeting:

Nearly a year has passed since the outbreak of war in Ukraine. During this time, the European Union has imposed 9 sanctions packages on Russia and Belarus, and additionally, the so-called ‘Polish Sanctions Act’ has come into force in Poland. Despite this, awareness of sanctions among entrepreneurs in Poland is quite low, due to the ‘newness’ of the topic and its complexity.

Sanction lists are subject to constant change and it is easy to get lost in the maze of regulations and new issues. Misinterpretation, but also lack of awareness of restrictions, can affect business decisions, which can have very negative consequences for companies and managers.

During the meeting:

  • we will recall the basics of sanctions (who imposes, on whom, from when and who must comply),

  • we will discuss the key sanctioning regimes,

  • we will focus on presenting real-life situations that affect Polish companies and their counterparties, products and possible consequences.

The meeting will be hosted by Tomasz Dyrda, Partner, EY Forensic & Integrity Services.

Participation in the webinar is free of charge. The meeting will be held in Polish.
