“Lviv Open to the World”

Lviv (ukr. Львів) is a city in western Ukraine, founded in 1256. It is also called “Little Paris” and the city’s official slogan is: “Lviv – Open to the World.

It is an important industrial hub, railroad, air and road junction. It is also an important center of science and culture in Ukraine. In 1998, the historic center of Lviv was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Now, during the war in Ukraine, it is also an important aid center for refugees.

Join us at our Tuesday Breakfast and find out:

  • what old legends say about Lviv,
  • which animal is the symbol of Lviv and how many of its statues are in the city,
  • what is worth visiting when in Lviv,
  • what Lviv and Wroclaw have in common.

The meeting will be hosted by:

Kateryna Chwiszczuk – intercultural and multilingual soft skills coach (languages: Ukrainian, Polish, English, French), as well as internal coach supporting development of employees in a multinational corporation. She has over 10 years of experience working in multinational corporations with clients mainly from the French and Swiss markets in the areas of: finance, human resources and payroll, and customer service. Her passion is supporting employees and customers by providing smart solutions. She believes that challenges are also opportunities. Born in Lviv, raised in Algeria, she has lived in Poland for 13 years.

“Tourist in a Japanese Restaurant”

Before going to Japan, it is good to know not only the outline of the country’s history and the mentality of its people. There are so many customs in Japan that a tourist may feel uncomfortable in many everyday situations.

“Tourist in a Japanese Restaurant” is the topic of our Online Breakfast on Thursday, June 2 at 8 a.m.

Among other things, we will explain whether you should:

  • remove your shoes before entering a restaurant,
  • pray before meals,
  • pay for otoshi – water and starters,
  • eat ramen soup with chopsticks,
  • give tips

and what not to do with chopsticks.

The meeting will be held by Kamila Radzyńska – business coach, specialised in intercultural communication, member of SIETAR Polska, R&D Manager experienced in foreign trade, romanist, passionate about the Far East, and winner of the Knowledge about France Competition organised by PR III radio and France Inter.
