China is a civilization in which gestures, numbers and colors often carry more meaning than words. The technological achievements of the 21st century have not changed the traditional way of communicating in the Middle Kingdom. Non-verbal communication still plays the most important role. Without understanding it, we may quickly damage our relationships with Chinese business partners. The next online breakfast meeting “China – the symbolism of numbers and colors in the 21st century” will introduce you to the rich world of hidden meanings. We invite you on Thursday, March 26 at 8:00 a.m.
During the meeting you will learn, among other things:
- Which numbers are considered lucky or unlucky in business
- Why so many digits appear in Chinese internet domains
- Which color can improve or damage relations with Chinese partners
- What the flag of the People’s Republic of China symbolizes
- What number a clenched fist represents
- What the numbers 3Q, 520 and 666 mean in the language of Chinese internet users
The meeting will be held by Kamila Radzyńska – business coach, specialised in intercultural communication, member of SIETAR Polska, R&D Manager experienced in foreign trade, romanist, passionate about the Far East, and winner of the Knowledge about France Competition organised by PR III radio and France Inter.
