8 am-9 am
South Korea is an intriguing tourist destination, where nearly four thousand years of history intertwines with modernity.
Just as the unfortunate geopolitical location influenced the history of the country, the terrain and its beauty formed the mentality of its inhabitants. An exceptionally strong bond with nature contributed to the belief that the Koreans’ relationship with the nature around them was stronger than with other human beings.
Join us for stories about South Korea at our Online Breakfast.
The first part is on Thursday, September 9, 8:00 – 9:00 am.
You will learn, among other things:
- how Korea’s location “between the whales and the shark” affected its fate
- how a mythical bear transformed into a woman
- why there is no Sea of Japan on Korean maps
- how two young US Army officers split Korea in half
- what are the four basic ingredients of Korean cuisine
- why the Koreans invented kimchi
The meeting will be held by Kamila Radzyńska – business coach, specialised in intercultural communication, member of SIETAR Polska, R&D Manager experienced in foreign trade, romanist, passionate about the Far East, and winner of the Knowledge about France Competition organised by PR III radio and France Inter.
The meeting will be held in Polish.
