Register of shareholders – obligatory dematerialization of shares

Date:
05.03.2020, 09:15 - 11:15

Location:
JDP Law Firm, Bud. North Gate, Bonifraterska 17 Street, Warsaw

Together with Advantage Austria and the Netherlands-Polish Chamber of Commerce we invite you to a business breakfast meeting on "Register of shareholders - obligatory dematerialization of shares" which will take place on March 5, at 9:15 in JDP Law Firm (Bonifraterska 17 Street, Warsaw).

Dematerialization of share certificates is a very important process for joint-stock companies and limited jointstock partnerships. It will no longer be necessary to presume who is a shareholder of the company based on the share register. It will also change the rules of shareholders’ verification and of share trading, and will release the Management Board from substantial obligations associated with keeping a share register. As a result of the materialization a third party, namely a brokerage house, will have to be engaged in the corporate environment of each company. Many of the key steps must be completed by the end of June 2020.

In the program you will find i.a.:
- reasons for and consequences of dematerialization,
- dematerialization step by step,
- management board's liability for proper dematerialization,
- alternative solutions.

More details are on the program below.

Please confirm your participation until March 2 at mm@swisschamber.pl.

Number of seats is limited. The entry is free of charge, however the participation is possible only after confirmation of the registration.

The meeting will be held in Polish.
