We are seeking a highly motivated Specialist for Financial Accounting combined with SAP Key-User role to join our General Ledger team in Poland.

The General Ledger team is responsible for handling all General ledger accounting processes and dedicated regulatory reports for Swiss and international SIX companies. As a member of GL, you will be responsible for monthly and annual closing activities for selected legal entities. In this context you will closely work together with different departments to assure that the financial statements are prepared according to respective local GAAP and IFRS and to ensure that management requirements are met. Additionally, you will take over dedicated centralized accounting tasks.

In your additional role as SAP Key-User you will provide first level support to users and be an integral part of various projects, including SAP Roll-outs. You will help analyzing the different processes between the different entities, provide solutions to harmonize the different processes and finally define the requirements to be implemented to reach the goal of harmonized processes.

You will be embedded in an international team and interact with different departments. You should have a good accounting understanding to perform the general ledger processes and to be able to challenge our processes and requirements. You should like to communicate with different people, analyze processes and be open to new ideas and changes.  You must possess a unique blend of business and technical understanding; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

What you will do:

  • independently process daily business activities (i.e. maintain accounting records by daily booking and reconciling of accounting documents) and leading the monthly, quarterly and annually closing process for selected entities
  • do the preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable GAAP and assistance in the auditing process
  • be responsible for centralized accounting tasks (e.g. Asset Accounting, FX Valuation)
  • provide SAP first level support to users and be part of SAP Rollouts at SIX Group entities outside Switzerland
  • be part of various projects (e.g. continuous improvements, automation)

What you bring:

  • education in Finance & Accounting or Business Administration
  • very good knowledge of finance and accounting processes and accounting principles (IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligation, etc.)
  • strong SAP knowledge (SAP FI, GL/AP/AR/AA/MM)
  • very good verbal and written skills in English, German would be a strong advantage
  • teamplayer attitude, taking ownership, result oriented with a mind of delivering high quality work
