Thursday, 8 February 2024

8 am-9 am

The culture and tradition of the Middle Kingdom entice foreigners with their complexity and enchanting atmosphere. Why is the New Year celebrated in February this year? Why do the Chinese make nearly 3 billion journeys at that time, and what makes the business freeze?

The peculiarities of this special period will be brought closer by our Online Breakfast: “The Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year,” will be held on Thursday, February 8, at 8:00 am.

Among the many interesting facts, you will learn:

  • what we risk by going to China during the Spring Festival period
  • when it is appropriate to “sweep the dust”
  • which night Chinese people sleep with their clothes on
  • what 7 new year’s happy dishes are
  • why you can’t wash your hair on Chinese New Year
  • what the coming Year of the Wood Dragon heralds for the world

The meeting will be held by Kamila Radzyńska – business coach, specialised in intercultural communication, member of SIETAR Polska, R&D Manager experienced in foreign trade, romanist, passionate about the Far East, and winner of the Knowledge about France Competition organised by PR III radio and France Inter.
