We are seeking a highly motivated Financial and Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our General Ledger team in Poland. This role involves assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, contributing to regulatory reporting, and collaborating with various departments to maintain accurate and timely reporting.
The General Ledger team (GL) is responsible for handling all General ledger accounting processes and dedicated regulatory reports for Swiss and international SIX companies. As a member of GL, you will be responsible for monthly and annual closing activities for selected legal entities. In this context you will closely work together with different departments to assure that the financial statements are prepared according to respective local GAAP and IFRS and to ensure that management requirements are met. Additionally, you will support your colleagues in preparing regulatory reports to the Swiss Financial Market Authority (FINMA) and the Swiss National Bank (SNB).
You will be embedded in an international team and closely work together with different departments within SIX. The ideal candidate will have some experience in financial reporting and a keen interest in regulatory reporting (e.g. BASEL III, SNB surveys). You should like to communicate with different people, analyze processes and be open to new ideas and changes. You should possess a unique blend of business and technical understanding; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
What You Will Do:
- independently processes daily business activities (i.e. maintains accounting records by daily booking and reconciling of accounting documents) and carrying out monthly, quarterly and annually closing activities for selected entities
- preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable GAAP and assistance in the auditing process
- support in the preparation of regulatory reports (e.g. Capital adequacy reporting and surveys) to FINMA and SNB
- contribute to ad-hoc tasks and projects
What You Bring:
- education in Finance & Accounting or Business Administration
- minimum 4 years practical experience in international financial accounting & reporting, at least 2 years in general ledger function
- fluency in English, German would be the a strong advantage
- experience in SAP (FI / MM) and MS Office
