Online breakfast with BALAJCZA – “China – the language of symbols in the 21st century”

Thursday, 25 March 2021
8 a.m.- 9 a.m.

China is a civilization in which gestures, numbers, and colours matter more than words. The technological advances of the 21st century have changed nothing in the traditional way of communicating in the Middle Kingdom.

Non-verbal communication is still the most important. A lack of understanding of these symbols can lead to a quick deterioration of our relations with the Chinese.

Our next online breakfast “China – the language of symbols in the 21st century” will introduce you to the rich world of hidden Chinese meanings.

You will learn:

  • What gifts are frowned upon in the Middle Kingdom?
  • What colours can make relationships with Chinese people better or worse?
  • What does the flag of the PRC symbolize?
  • Which colour is for boys and which is for girls?
  • What fruit should not be given to a partner, including a business partner?
  • Is it appropriate to offer a bouquet of red roses?

The meeting will be held by Kamila Radzyńska – business coach, specialised in intercultural communication, member of SIETAR Polska, R&D Manager experienced in foreign trade, romanist, passionate about the Far East, and winner of the Knowledge about France Competition organised by PR III radio and France Inter.

The meeting will be held in Polish.
