The idea of the meeting was to provide an opportunity for establishing contacts and exchanging experience between the Polish and Swiss ICT-sectors.

The Chamber organized Swiss Pavilion during the ITM Fair – Mach-Tool Exhibition on 9-12 June 2015.
It is a joint initiative of the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Swiss Business Hub Poland which was held for the fourth time.
The Pavilion included stands of the following companies: Bibus Menos (www.bibusmenos.pl), Bogucki Engineering (www.bogucki.org), Dawin Plus, representative of Swiss company K.R Pfiffner AG (www.dawin.pl), Fracht FWO Polska (www.frachtfwo.pl) and Otto Suhner (www.suhner-transmission-expert.com).
Also Gudel Polska (www.gudel.com/pl) joined our initiative. Coffee was served by the company Jura (www.pl.jura.com).
Traditionally, on the second day of the Fair, we organized Swiss-style apero for clients and business partners of Pavilion’s exhibitors.
On 18th June, the next event of the series Speed Business Meeting took place. The meeting was co-organized by bilateral chambers, i.a the Scandinavian, French, Belgium, British and Portuguese Chamber.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to establish new business contacts, present the offer of their company, and exchange business cards with potential business partners, customers, suppliers, distributors and investors.

The 17th General Meeting of Member-companies of the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce took place in Warsaw on 2 June.
The host of the meeting was the company Angst+Pfister, whose CEO, Christof Domeisen, held a presentation titled: Poland – From Extended Workbench to Innovation Hub.
The foreword was given by the Ambassador of Switzerland in Poland, Lukas Beglinger.
The next edition of the meeting Swissness in Poland was held on 9 June. The host of the meeting was the company Victorinox. The newly opened showroom of Victorinox, first such a place in Poland and region made an opportunity to hold a meeting there.
We organized a quiz whose aim was to create a slogan promoting the event “Swissness in Poland” organized by the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Victorinox. The winner created a slogan:
Swissness in Poland – always at your service.
Additionally two other slogans were awarded. We would like to thank you for your engagement and creativity.
The additional attraction of the meeting was an opportunity to assebmle your own Victorinox pocket knife.

The sixth edition of the Polish-Swiss Forum For Dialogue was held on 23 April. This time the invited guests discussed the topic “How do we treat cancer in Poland? The availability of modern cancer treatment for Polish patients”.
The report “Access to innovative cancer drugs in Poland compared to other countries of the European Union and Switzerland” was presented during the meeting. The report was prepared by EY on behalf of Alivia – Oncological Foundation of Young People (www.alivia.org.pl), who also co-organized the meeting.
As the report indicates – Polish patients have access to smaller amount of modern cancer drugs than patients in other European countries. Even if the drugs are put on the list, they are given to lower than in EU percentage of patients in need, and after much longer time than in other countries. Out of 30 most frequently used cancer drugs used in EU – 12 are not available in Poland (NFZ – National Health Foundation – does not refund them), and only 2 drugs can be prescribed by doctors at their discretion.
The debate moderated by editor Jacek Żakowski involved the following persons:

• Prof. Cezary Szczylik, Head of Clinic of Oncology in Central Clinical Hospital MON of Military Institute of Medicine,
• Bartosz Poliński, President of Alivia Foundation.
