Polish-Swiss Innovation Day 2021

On October 14, the sixth edition of the Polish-Swiss Innovation Day conference on “Cleantech: environmentally conscious businesses” took place.

What is the role of the state in the development of green technology? Where do companies see the greatest business opportunities related to green technologies? Are investments in more sustainable solutions profitable? What obstacles do companies face?

The focus was on two areas – low-carbon manufacturing and renewable energy solutions, and sustainable construction and buildings. These topics are particularly important in Poland, taking into account the rapid growth in industrial production, the thriving construction sector and the energy mix that it still relies heavily on fossil fuels such as coal and gas.

The participants of the Polish-Swiss Innovation Day could follow inspiring speeches and discussion panels with the participation of experts from the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM), the Polish Green Building Council and renowned companies such as – ABB, Alpiq SE, DWF, Franke, Group Jobst Willers Engineering AG , REALTI, Schindler Polska, Sika Poland, Zehnder Polska. There were also key examples of Cleantech solutions straight from Switzerland, which were presented by an institution promoting trade and investments – Switzerland Global Enterprise.

The event was hosted by J.E. Juerg Burri, Swiss Ambassador to Poland, and Michał Stępień (UBS), President of the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce.

Extensive materials are already available on the conference website.
