9th International Family Picnic

The 9h International Family Picnic was held at Ludowa Altana in Rozalin on 2nd September 2018. The event was organised in cooperation with the Belgian Business Chamber, Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy and the Italian Chamber of Commerce.

Participants of the picnic had a possibility among others to check if their breakfast is well-balanced thanks to Nestle, take part in first aid workshops organized by Schiller and check their knowledge about bees and participate in games concerning good nutrition with vegetables having important role thanks to Syngenta.

Furthermore, children and adults took part in a dancing class, where they guessed dancing styles and had fun at bouncy castles and a climbing wall.

We would like to thank all guests for coming and sponsors for their support and attractive prizes.

Swiss Pavilion at Mach-Tool Fair 2018

Between 5th and 8th June 2018 we organized the Swiss Pavilion at the ITM Fair – Mach-Tool. 

It is a joint initiative of the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Swiss Business Hub Poland which was held for the seventh time.

Almost 1000 exhibitors and companies from 26 countries took part in this edition of the trade fair.

The Swiss Pavilion consisted of the following companies: Angst+Pfister Polska sp. z o.o (www.angst-pfister.com), Bogucki Engineering (www.bogucki.org), Bossard Poland Sp. z o.o. (www.bossard.com/pl), Lista AG (www.lista.com/int-en/), Schmiedewerk Stooss AG (www.stooss.pl/) and SpanSet Polska Sp. z o.o. (www.spanset.com/pl_pl/).

 Coffee was served by the company Jura (www.pl.jura.com).

Traditionally, on the second day of the trade fair, we organized Swiss-style apero for clients and business partners of Pavilion’s exhibitors.

20th General Meeting

On 15th February we celebrated Swisschamber’s 20th Anniversary at Villa Foksal.
Our Gala gathered member companies, partners and friends of Swisschamber.

We were excited to listen to Marek Kaminski’s inspirational speech on “Expedition to the ends of dreams- how to make the impossible possible” and organizing Charity Auction with Victorinox pocket knives, a Wenger watch and Marek Kaminski’s books. Thanks to this charity we could help children from the Life Plan project of the Marek Kaminski foundation.

Thank you all for spending this important for us event and we congratulate the winners of the auction!

Vocational schools – a driving factor for business development?

On 28th November at the Centre for Practical Education in Wroclaw were held workshops on Vocational schools – a driving factor for business development? Partcipants of workshops were vocational schools and member companies.

The meeting was opened by a journalist from Gazeta Wyborcza, Bartosz Sendrowicz. It was followed by an official welcome by Commercial Counsellors of Swiss and Austrian Embassy: Lukas Schifferle and Stefan Stantejsky as well as Ewa Szczęch, Director of Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary School Department of Wroclaw City Hall.

The following representatives shared their experience in cooperation with schools and business:

– Anna Chołodecka, Director, Centre for Practical Education in Wrocław,
– Piotr Hnida, Director of Project Implementation, ZAE Sp. z o.o.,
– Iwona Fluder,  Junior Corporate Communication Manager, Nestlé Polska S.A.,
– Krzysztof Świerk, Director, Complex of Agricultural Schools, Centre for Practical Education in Kaczki Średnie.

After the official part it was time for workshops, during which companies and schools could plan short and long term activities and cooperation. This initiative had a bottom-up nature and served identification of common needs: both schools and companies in a specific region.

Facilitators of each working tables shared their conclusions from discussions, such as:

– “disenchantment” of vocational education,
– promotion of vocational education together with employers,
– career advice,
– delegating teachers for a training to companies.

On 22nd November in Switzerland took place the 4. Polish-Swiss Roundtable. Digital Health 2027- How to face customer needs?

The Polish-Swiss Roundtable aimed to bring together companies from Switzerland and Poland (ICT and Health Tech) to get to know each other and explore possibilities of exchange, collaboration and partnerships.
